NAMI MC is a compassionate organization led by volunteers, providing mental health resources to families and consumers for the purpose of making the community a better place. Every week, NAMI MC helps people in desperate situations. Caring people like you, who know how good it feels to lend a helping hand, makes this vital work possible.

We know your time is valuable and we welcome volunteer help on flexible schedules.

Who Volunteers?...

Hundreds of people volunteer for NAMI MC every year. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and represent all age groups. Everyone has something special to offer...Including You!

We are happy to have students volunteer to fulfill community service hours!

What is there to do?...

• HelpLine...Volunteers needed to answer the helpline and provide referrals. The helpline is open Monday- Friday, 10 AM-2 PM.
• Thrift Store...Volunteers needed to help with sorting and displaying merchandise as well as lifting heavy items like funiture.
• Grant Researching/Writing...Volunteers needed to assist and work with the various departments in writing grants, etc.
• Pinch-Hitter Volunteer...Volunteers available to help with unanticipated or irregular tasks as they arrive.
• Clerical...Volunteers need to assist with bulk mailing, filing, and inventory etc.
• Maintenance...Volunteers needed to help with routine maintenance duties: janitorial, minor repairs, etc.
• Special Projects...Volunteers needed to assist with various duties for fundraising and special events.
• Youth Volunteers...Students are encouraged to volunteer doing office work, help with mailings, preparing materials for classes and computer data entry.
