NAMI MC is accepting applications from qualified, experienced individuals to join our team. Communications & Outreach Programs CoordinatorProgram Coordinators are responsible for planning and coordinating all operational facets of their programs. This position plans and executes the monthly education meetings, monthly newsletter, web content, an outreach program and other communications.
In addition to responsibility for a program area, Program Coordinators build bridges with the community through outreach; this involves gaining trust and educating as many people as possible about mental illness, its treatments, and the resources that are available in the County. This position also answers calls on the Helpline during designated hours. - Hours Per Week: 20
- Degree: Bachelor's preferred
- Required Experience: 1-3 years experience with a degree in English, Journalism, or similar field preferred.
- Must possesses media relations and communications experience
- Ability to write website and newsletter content (html and asp programming skills a plus)
- Desktop publishing experience (MS Publisher preferred)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Background check required.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid drivers license.
- Individuals must possess a sense of teamwork and attention to detail.
- Position(s) are part-time but may involve night time or weekend hours.

Thrift Shop ManagerThe Thrift Shop Manager is responsible for all store functions associated with professionally running a retail establishment (second hand goods) to achieve sales/profitability goals while ensuring a high level of donor and customer satisfaction. The Thrift Shop Manager is frequently on the sales floor to train, motivate, lead and coach team members while overseeing/driving daily sales performance, maintaining service and operational standards. Finally the Thrift Shop Manager builds bridges with the community through marketing, outreach and the development of new partnerships to grow and enhance the sales, visibility, and operations of the Thrift Shop. - Hours Per Week: 40
- Degree: Bachelor's preferred
- Required Experience: 2-5 years supervisory/management experience in a retail sales environment or similar fast paced, customer service environment.
- Strong working knowledge of general retail practices/procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead/direct, coach and train others in a retail setting, and the ability to relate well using communication, interpersonal, diplomacy and related skills required.
- Experience in a specialty retail environment (selling second hand goods) required.
