Take Action

NAMI Montgomery County advocates for nondiscriminatory local, state and federal policies based on the reccomendations of the NAMI Maryland Public Policy Commitee and the NAMI MC Advocacy Committee.

Together with NAMI Maryland and NAMI National, we have been active in the fight for federal insurance parity. On the local level, we are working to develop a mental health court as well as increase funding and improve services and housing opportunities in the county.

•How Can I help?•

If you would like to advocate for people with mental illness in Montgomery County, please contact the NAMI Office.

We always need people who can testify at hearings and are willing to tell their personal stories to legislators!

You can also visit the Take Action page to see our current campaigns!
